BlueLake Airways

About us

With this virtual airline (VA), our goal is to be as close to real-world aviation as possible, elevating both the airline itself and its pilots to a level of realism not previously achieved. Starting with a small initial fleet of three aircraft, we reflect the size of a newly founded real-world airline. Based on this foundation, we aim to gradually expand the VA step by step through an economic system.

Through each flight, revenue is generated both for the airline and for the pilot. The airline’s funds are then used within a realistic framework and based on real-world price structures to integrate new aircraft into the fleet. In this way, we continuously and sustainably increase both the quality and the quantity of our fleet over time.

For pilots, this realistic approach also means that a type rating must be obtained for each aircraft type. Throughout their career, pilots can progress through the airline’s ranks and transition to different aircraft types, closely modeled after real-world aviation career paths. To accurately reflect the operational environment pilots face, we require that a significant portion of flights be conducted on VATSIM.
